About Matlocks Van Security

At Matlocks, van security is more than our specialty—it’s our heritage. Founded by Matthew Bunn (QML), who began his locksmith career in 1989, Matlocks has grown from a general locksmith service into a leading specialist in commercial vehicle security.

After working with three major locksmith companies, Matthew established Matlocks in 1999. In the early years, our work covered a mix of domestic, commercial, and van security services across the South East. Van security back then focused mainly on standard deadlocks and slam locks.

As van and tool theft increased, so did the need for stronger, more specialised protection. Recognising this shift, we made a decisive move in 2014 to focus exclusively on van security.

Van security is now 100% of our business. This complete focus allows us to stay ahead of emerging attack methods and respond quickly to new vulnerabilities in commercial vehicles.
